In order to fulfill our goal of providing a constant supply of new, innovative products to improve clinical outcomes, be responsive to the needs of health care practitioners and sensitive to issues of patient comfort, while controlling the costs of that care, we utilize the skill and innovative capabilities of our research and development organization, supplemented by a significant program to identify, acquire and develop important new technologies and products which were conceived outside the Corporation.

Advanced Care leverages its capabilities in product development, and its demonstrated ability to commercialize products in a timely fashion to attract suitable partners from the academic, practitioner and industrial communities to insure that products and product development opportunities from other organizations will properly supplement its internal development efforts.

On average Advanced Care reinvests 10% of its sales back into its Research and Development programs.

Development of Individual Patient Preloaded Needles

Historically seeds and spacers have manually been loaded into needles just prior to the implant at the hospital or brachytherapy center by the radiation technician or physicist responsible for the procedure. There was an unprecedented need in the market place for quality control and drastically reduced procedural time. Our research and development teams knowledge of this market place aided in the decision and development of the first preloaded needles based upon an individuals predetermined plan. The euphoria we brought to the low dose rate brachytherapy industry was our ability to be able to take our proprietary variable length single piece spacers and allow seeds to be spaced at variable lengths apart based off each individuals pre-plan and therefore eliminating the need to stack standard length spacers to achieve longer distances between seeds, thus our technology drastically reduced the problem of bunching and jamming during source deployment.

Development of Preloaded variable space Implant Needles

Advance Care developed a new generation of strands (Vari-Strand and Real Time Strands) which allowed the end user to order variable spacing per the users plan and standard seed spacing for real-time variation of seed implantation.

Physicists have told us time and time again that our pre-loaded needle service is appreciated. Readi-Load™ and Vari-Load™ offers a customized, convenient, safe and trusted method for ordering implant needles according to each patients pre-plan - assayed, sterilized, authorized, verified and ready to go - directly to the end user.

Next was the evolution from the pre-loaded needle to the introduction of the first customized monofilament synthetic strand pre-loaded into a needle. The introduction of these strands helped combat the problem of loose seeds migrating and allowed a more complete treatment of the gland by allowing placement of strands at the periphery, thus minimizing cold spots in the gland.

It remains our goal today and in the future to continue providing the very best and most complete and innovative solutions for improved efficiencies, safety and effectiveness to the brachytherapy low dose rate and high dose rate technologies.

Our facility is ISO certified and our brachytherapy kits have a CE mark and validated sterilization process.

Easy Ordering, Confident Verification;

Ordering your pre-loaded implant needles is easy, using either our Needle Configuration/Loading Report ... or by submitting your Treatment Plan needle configuration to us.

Your loaded needles are positioned in a special shielded pouch, with each needle clearly marked. A processed/developed QA film is sent with your order, visually confirming the seed/spacer configuration of each needle in the shielded pouch.

Advanced Care - provides a final verification of the mean and measured activity of 10% of the seeds in the case/prescription.
